The Garage Build: Part 1

One of the most important aspects of owning a special vehicle is where you are going to store and occasionally perform routine maintenance and modifications. The dream for many auto enthusiasts is having an equally nice place to store and work on the car. For the majority of us this place will be our home garage. Now that I have one of my own it was time to get to work getting this place up to par.

The first step in any project is the tear down. Since this is my first garage there was not a lot to do here, most of the work was taking out the stuff the previous home owner installed such as the makeshift over head storage unit, a hose reel and workbench.

Once all of this was clear the next thing to do was work on the walls. There were various holes installed by the previous owner that needed to be patched during this step of the process. This was probably the most time consuming for me since I am no drywall professional. All of the sanding and prep work needed during this stage took a couple days, it’s definitely not something I would want to do again, take of you walls people. Up next it’s time to lay some paint but until then enjoy some additional pictures of the process…
