The first Type R variant to be sold in the United States, the Integra Type R also known by its chassis code DC2 was sold with a high revving 1.8l inline 4 -cylinder that produces 185 hp. The Type R was introduced as a 1997 model to the US market available in only championship white for 97 and 98. The Type R was not available for the 99 model year but returned in 2000 and remained until production ended for the Integra in 2001.
