Mitsubishi Evo

The Mitsubishi Evolution also known as the “Evo” is an all-wheel drive rally car based off of the Lancer produced by Mitsubishi from 1992 to 2016. The Evo VIII was the first generation Evolution to be available for the US market. It is the successor to the Mitsubishi Evolution VII. The Evo 8 was first debuted in 2003 for the 2003 model year. The Evo 8 like it’s predecessor’s came standard with all wheel drive and was powered by the 4G63 turbo inline four cylinder mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Originally sold in one trim, by 2005 there were four different trim levels available the GSR, RS and MR. The GSR and MR were available with either a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission and various other options. The Evo 8 was succeeded by the Evo 9 which debuted in 2006. The Evo X was the last generation Evo produced before Mitsubishi discontinued the model in 2016.
