Porsche unveiled the Speedster variant of the 991 as a concept in 2018. The Speedster utilizes the same chassis as the GT3 and the shell of the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet. The Speedster comes standard with the GT3’s 4.0 litre naturally aspirated Flat-6 engine which produces 493 hp and redlines at 9,000 rpm mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Speedster was available for sale in May 2019 and was limited to 1,948 units.
