The 997.2 Porsche GT2 RS was officially unveiled in 2010. The GT2 RS which is a more track focused model than the Turbo S, is powered by a 3.6 litre flat-six engine which produces 612 hp mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. The GT2 RS reduces weight by 154 lbs. compared to the outgoing 997.1 GT2. Porsche only produced 500 units globally and it was the fastest and most powerful 911 variant of its generation succeeded by the 991 GT2 RS in 2018.
